There really isn’t a roadmap for building a resilient, equitable and inclusive place-based economy. But one thing we know for sure - it takes a community coming together with a lot of imagination, creativity, and gumption to create a new vision for community development. In this sense, the roadmap really looks a bit more like a constellation, or a network of nodes and connection points signifying the degree of relationships.
That’s why the Uplands Community Collective pursues Collective Impact strategies through deep and meaningful partnerships with organizations who bring different expertise, viewpoints, and capacity to the work. It’s not just about collaboration on an exiting body of work - it’s about co-creating a new vision, one that couldn’t have been conceptualized or achieved alone.
